Bringing Hope to the people of Delportshoop & beyond
Thembanthi HOPE Centre is the community outreach arm of Harvester Reformational Church Northern Cape. Driven by love and practical faith, Thembanthi exists to meet the physical, educational, and social needs of our local community. We are dedicated to creating a safe space where children learn, families are fed, and individuals are empowered with real-world skills.

Our Heart & Vision
Faith without action is incomplete. Thembanthi was established to turn compassion into tangible support for Delportshoop and surrounding areas. Through our holistic outreach programs, we address poverty, educational gaps, and unemployment by providing immediate relief alongside long-term skills development.
Our Core Initiatives & Programs
After-School Support & Youth Program
A safe, structured environment where learners receive homework help, literacy and academic support, digital skills training, and creative arts engagement. We keep youth off the streets and give them the tools to build a brighter future.
Community Food Garden
Our local agricultural initiative produces fresh, sustainable crops to feed vulnerable households and supply our soup kitchen. It also serves as a practical site for teaching sustainable gardening and farming skills to community members.
Skills & Training Centre
Equipping adults and youth with practical, accredited, and vocational skills to improve employability and encourage entrepreneurship. From basic computer literacy to enterprise skills, we empower people to build sustainable livelihoods.
Daily Soup Kitchen
Providing warm, nutritious meals to children, elderly residents, and families in need. No one in our community should have to face hunger alone.
Thembanthi Charity Shop
An affordable local resource offering donated clothing, household goods, and essentials to families on a budget. Proceeds and donations directly fund our daily outreach and youth activities.
